TOOLING

Making moulds

The mould has to reproduce the designed geometry exactly. This stage decides the surface quality and the fit of the component.

CARBON PREPREG

Laying the fibre

Prepreg fabric already carries the epoxy resin system and hardener. That lets us control the resin content and place the fibres precisely.

COMPOSITE CURE

Curing

Prepreg technology uses a controlled curing process, which is what gives the composite its mechanical properties and stability.

FINAL FINISH

UV coat

The final finish uses NOVOL Spectral paints. The clear coat protects the surface and gives it the characteristic high gloss.

PREPREG TECHNOLOGY

The resin is already
in the fibre.

Prepreg is a reinforcing fabric pre-impregnated with an epoxy resin system that already contains the right hardener. That lets the material be laid into the mould without the extra resin typical of wet lamination.
